Training Camp Recognition
Training Camp Recognition
USSF recognition is not required but strongly encouraged for all training camps. USSF recognition is free.
An event may be considered a training camp if all of the following apply: (1) it involves more than one practice session, each of which includes sumo training for a minimum of two hours, (2) the participants are not all members of the same USSF-chartered club, and (3) it is open to USSF members with notice given at least one month in advance.
USSF recognition is not the same as a USSF sanction and does not entail any supplementary insurance. However, USSF recognition does enable the USSF to promote training camps on the USSF website and advertise them to members via the USSF newsletter and other publications.
By seeking USSF recognition, you agree to provide a training camp report to the USSF within two weeks of the event’s completion. The event report form can be found online at ussumo.org/registration
