Learn sumo from a real sumo wrestler - come to Yama’s sumo seminar & training session! Yama (山本山 龍太) is a former professional sumo wrestler who reached the top division in Japan, and was the largest Japanese sumo wrestling at 600 pounds.

Yama along with Chicago Sumo Club will go over the sumo basic movements and rules. Students will have the opportunity to do some matches as well.

No experience required! All genders and ages welcomed!
Mawashi belts will be provided. Attendees should wear athletic clothes, such as compression or no gi outfits. Each attendee should bring their own water and towel as well.
